About Vanja.

Vanja is a warm, compassionate, and collaborative Registered Psychologist dedicated to supporting adolescents and adults as they navigate life's complex transitions and interpersonal challenges. Holding a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Vanja combines evidence-informed psychological care with a grounded, practical, and highly empathetic approach to therapy. She delivers therapy in English, as well as Serbian, Bosnian, and Croatian.

Vanja's core areas of clinical focus center on providing individual therapy for adolescents and adults experiencing difficult relationship dynamics, inter-relational stress, boundary setting, and complex life transitions or adjustment difficulties. Whether working through communication breakdowns in personal or social life, processing major relationship shifts, or adapting to personal, academic, or workplace changes, Vanja provides a safe, non-judgmental space to gain clarity and build personal autonomy.

In her practice, Vanja works from a trauma-informed foundation and draws upon established evidence-based frameworks, incorporating elements of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and practical skill-building. She tailors her approach to suit each client's unique needs, focusing on helping individuals identify unhelpful patterns, strengthen emotional resilience, and develop sustainable strategies to move forward.

  • Relationship & interpersonal dynamics: boundary setting, communication skills, navigating peer or interpersonal stress, people-pleasing, and post-relationship recovery (individual support only).
  • Adjustment & life transitions: major life decisions, academic or workplace transitions, role shifts, caregiver/parenting stress, and identity changes.
  • Emotional wellbeing: anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, stress management, perfectionism, and low self-worth.
  • Stress & recovery: burnout, compassion fatigue, grief and non-death loss, and processing chronic life stressors.
  • Languages: English, Serbian, Bosnian, Croatian.

Vanja works exclusively with individual adolescent (13+) and adult clients and does not offer couples, marriage, or family therapy.
